We believe the Ashéninka People will be reached with the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ as God's people pray earnestly for them. Therefore the prayers of the our Prayer Warriors are taken very seriously. As a Christian praying for the Ashéninka people, you are a member of the Ashéninka Team. You are also doing the work of the Ashéninka Team. Your location may be in the States or another country, but you are as close to the throne of God as your prayers offered earnestly on behalf of this people group who desperately needs the Truth of God's Word.

Here are some ways to pray for the Ashéninka:

• Pray that the strongholds of Satan among this people be weakened and removed so that there will be nothing between the people and the Truth.
• Pray that Ashéninka Christians have a burden to share Christ with their own people.
• Pray that Christian men and women will emerge who want to learn the Bible and how to relate it to their  Ashéninka peers.
• Pray that Ashéninka people will have a hunger to know what the Bible says and be eager to listen to those who present it.
• Pray for rapid understanding of the biblical things taught in Ashéninka communities.
• Pray for a movement of the Holy Spirit to sweep across the entire Ashéninka people group that will see thousands come to know Christ as Savior.
• Pray that as many believe they will be set free from spiritual darkness that has them bound up in fear of evil spirits.

                                                                                                            The Ashéninka Team wants to be only willing tools the Lord uses to reach the Ashéninka people. If these respond to what we do instead of the Holy Spirit,  their changes will not be real. We want them to see the reality of the Living God and His Son Jesus Christ, and to follow Him.

The work of the Team is often physically taxing. We often have to deal with sickness. Travel is rigorous and sometimes dangerous. Patience sometimes wears thin and endurance seems hard to come by. But remembering the prayers of many praying friends during trying times is a source of strength. We hope you will either begin to  pray for the Team, or continue the praying you have been doing. We take it seriously and depend upon your prayers every moment of every day.

Here are some ways to pray for the Ashéninka Team:

• Pray for the personal spiritual growth of each team member.
• Pray for daily resolve to be obedient to the will of our Master.
• Pray that the Lord will add missionaries to our team as He desires.
• Pray for our physical strength and endurance, even when the going is very hard.
• Pray for our communication abilities; Spanish is hard for some, Ashéninka is hard for all.
• Pray for our relationships with Ashéninka men and women.
• Pray for  safety in all our frequent travels in and out of the jungle.
• Pray for our families, for relationships, for commitments to the Lord, and for time to grow with each other.
